"Introducing the..." Tutorials about Sensors

What are these free Tutorials about?

After you have worked through the free LEGO NXT Challenges available here, many students are eager to extend their work using sensors that are offered by "third-party" (non-LEGO) sources.

Some of these sensors (such as those produced by HiTechnic) are approved by LEGO, some are not, but all are designed to allow you to do something extra with your next LEGO Robot. There are an incredible number of these relatively inexpensive sensors and peripherals that can add abilities to your LEGO robot. Many of these abilities could be useful in School Science/Engineering experiments, especially in association with LEGO's recently added data-logging ability.

These video/text tutorials are the start of an  "Introducing the ..."  series of tutorials aimed making the use of these sensors accessible to interested teachers, parents, home-schoolers and individual students who do not have a "geek" background. The tutorials are meant to help you get you started with these sensors. They will not make you an expert in the use of these sensors, but they will allow you to get a result from the sensors which will hopefully be a first step in a productive use of these sensors.

Details of extra sensors will be added, when I have time to write more of these free tutorials...
